Hi
Does anyone know of any cheap/free software for converting MS files and Quark Xpress files to PDF.
I am familiar with producing postscripts in quark and then running them through Adobe Distiller but this prog is not cheap.
Any suggesstions

i use pdf creator which works brilliantly0

I use Cute PDF. Its free.
you install ghostscript first then cutepdf. Then it appears as if it's a printer so when you go file, print you can select the cutepdf. It then prompts and asks where you want the pdf saved to.
Easy.
Edit: not used Quark though.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
We use PDF995 also, with no problems. It sits as a printer, so you just print from any application.
It asks you to save as, then a nag screen comes up.
It's not much to pay to prevent the nag screen, but we're cheap and don't bother!!

I agree with Neil Taylor. Been using PDF995 for years with no problems. If you also download PDFEDIT from the same site you can add pages to PDF documents, spin them round, bung copyright notices on etc.0

MAy I suggest OpenOffice -- that has an option to directly output to pdf files.
