First Direct free £100

Hi Everyone,

I plan to move to First Direct.

Does anyone know if you have to use there transfer service to get this?

I have read that you have to have used it if you want the 2nd free £100 to move away, but I'm not sure about the £100 sign up bonus??

Hmm... Looks like you're right, all it says is that you have to transfer your income of >£1500

You don't have to use their transfer service to get the £100 joining bonus.

Correct me if I'm wrong but last time I checked receiving 'free £100' is not really free if First Direct customers are required to pay £10 per month to keep their account open; FD soon get their money back.

You're correct if you don't pay in at least £1500 per month or open another product, however, those who pay in £1500+ and / or open a second FD product avoid the £10 fee.
