    hi there
my sister was really in need of a community care grant and she was refused by the social fund and asked for a review by a social fund advisor and was awarded for everything except bedding and a bed so she sent the form back for the IRS review and within 2 weeks they got back to her and she was awarded the whole amount she asked for. they didnt need to ask any questions they get the form with all the information in it and it was in her bank 2 days after she got the letter. it was only in the last month so i would say about 14 days for the whole process

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Thanks for the reply.

The reason for the CCG was my daughter was admitted into hospital for surgery over 50 miles away (the closest place where they do spinal operations). Mum was allowed to stay in the hospital but me and her brother were not allowed so we had to find accommodation.

As DS was only a year old and i do not get on with my family so no one could stay with him or he couldn't stay with anyone. So i stayed in the travelodge with DS as close to the hospital as possible.

DD was in for a month and a half due to MRSA & 2 spinal infections which required 2 operations to wash out the infection.

We had to use all our money on accommodation and food so no bills were paid etc.

There are people here who would say why didnt you go back and forth to the hospital everyday?

Well the reason is my daughter was sick and not well at all!

According to the DWP DD is not a high enough priority. That was their words both on the phone and in a disgusting letter i recieved
