Help with clicking on links in email

Hi
I used to always be able to click on links in my email and go straight to the page...today however when i click on the links in all my mail there is a mesage pops up with a red X saying..windows cannot find .....make sure you have typed in the name correctly and try again.

This has only happened today since i done some clean up on my lap top including stopping programs running at start up, using cc cleaner and defragler
I don't know what i have done but looks like i have disabled something

Any ideas please ?
Thanks

    What have you stopped?
When I was 5, my dad told me that the ice-cream van only played songs when it's out of ice-cream. Cheek!

    Hi
Thanks, i have just went on line via internet explorer rather than firefox and i can click on my email links now, so i suspect its something i need with firefox ?
i did have the beta version off firefox but removed that earlier as my pc was running slow and resorted to using the older version and it seems to have been since then i have been having problems

    thanks
