Student balance transfers/ no income

Hi, I'm a mature student (42) with a good credit history. I would like to transfer a c/c balance from virgin to a 0% deal - but you seem to need an income? Are there c/c providers who do not need an income, but offer 0% deals? Also how do I find out the amount per month I will need to repay each month ( would like to reduce, if possible, the amount paid out. Would a loan be better?).
Thanks
