just been speaking to my son and, by sheer coincidence, he's building an extension for a chartered surveyor. He's just quoted me £295 for a building survey via reallymoving.com, and my son going to speak to him tomorrow.0 -
An open ended offer will allow this biter divorce couple to just keep you waiting.
As others have stated, you have to give them a deadline for your offer after which you will walk away. If you tell them you will reduce then they will think they have you hooked anyhow so you have to tell them you are prepared to walk away after X weeks.
If they then come back to you in the future you have to reduce your offer as they are costing you money in rent, wasted time, etc. Do not be pulled into their divorce! Give them a deadline.
