Hi ,
Is there any way i can get a free used laptop or computer as i have just started an access course at college with the goal of going to university next year but i dont like sitting in the library all day and would prefer to have a computer/laptop for myself.
I live on my own and have almost no money after rent and bills and would really like to have a laptop or computer at home that i could use to do my coursework on.
I am either constantly in the library sice i started or round a friends online.
i really would appreciate some good help on this matter because it will hugely benefit me with my coursework.
thanks.

Options:
1. Natwest offer student current account holders a five yr 16-25 railcard; student discount crd;save £100 on an ASUS laptop.
2. Blackberry pay&go for email word processing and internet.
3. Use the library, find a part time job or and become self employed to fund uni days.0 -
There are sometimes some free (normally old) PCs on Freecycle but they tend to go quick:

This does not help as i am not yet at uni until next september. I was hoping somewhere would be able to offer laptops for a reduced price for someone in my circumstances. I cannot open a student account yet without a university place. I use the library which means i have to rush when it comes to closing time. I have a part time job but i work to pay bills and rent. No extra money whatsoever.
any more options?
thanks though for the reply.0 -

Are you on Facebook, Twitter or anything else where there's a network of friends of friends? If so have you put out a call to people to see if anyone has or knows anyone who has a spare laptop they're not using? For instance, I have my laptop I'm writing this on now, and a notebook that I've hardly touched since I got this and would gladly lend it out within my circle of acquaintances if I thought it would do any good.
A borrowed one would keep you going until you could get your own...0 -
Not exactly a laptop, but I did manage to get a PC for £15.24 on eBay if you search around in the desktops/laptops category there0
