right to return to who?

Hi all.
In november 2009 I purchased a surround sound speaker system from Zavvi.com. It has recently developed a fault (basically one of the audio outputs is very quiet).
Basically, I am unsure who I should return it to. I have contacted Philips, and they said I should return it to the dealer (Zavvi). I have also emailed Zavvi and asked them what I am to do, but I can imagine they will try to pass the blame on to Philps.
When purchased it came with a standard 12 month warranty, but who is really responsible for the fault after 10 or so months?
Thanks in advance,
Simon

The retailer is responsible.0

I second that. In buying something from Zavvi, you entered a contract with them (and them with you, obviously).
They probably will try to fob you off to see if you will go away without a fuss, but persist and demand due to their legal obligations and they should honour their warranty.0 -
The responsibility of the warranty is the manufacturer (unless it was a warranty specifically offered by the retailer).
Your statutory rights are against the retailer.0
