Haven entertainment passes via the sun deal

Hi
I have booked a £15 deal via the sun for March the first weekend of the season, and they want £10 per person for 'entertainment passes' for the weekend for Haven Weymouth Bay.
(this is the 'sun' small print)
16. Parks offering full day and evening entertainment programmes may charge for optional Entertainment Plus Passes. Charges will range from £2 to £10.50 per person per break. Other parks may charge £2 to £10 per person per break for optional Clubroom Passes. Check your Park's description for specific charges. (Please note that there may be limited or no entertainment programme at some parks during November and December).
The passes are 'optional', and infact Haven include them foc for customers booking direct with them so this is a 'Sun holiday' promotion thing, Haven advised me on the phone if we don't have them we can't use the 'complex' - restaurants pool etc I guess.
Does anyone know if this is strictly checked ? and could we buy the passes for less when we get there ?
We will only want to use the pool a couple of times and not bothered about the restaurants/bar I don't think.
Anyone expericed being checked for passes etc ?
thanks

Yes it is strictly checked all Havens i have been to have been checked, been to about 10 or so , you may get into the Restaurant and Pub but pool will be checked and entertainment venue will have security guards on the door in the evening, you will probably get to the kids clubs in the day without a problem0

At Littlesea, (in Weymouth as well), there is security into the park and at the complex entrance so pretty difficult to get in without passes.0
