  • thank you guys, you have all been extremly helpful. il phone them tomorrow and see what rubish they tell me, but if it is rubish i will play absolute hell with them simply because the only reason i can see them doing this is to take all of my money. i certainly wouldnt reccomend quick fit to anyone in the future.

my mother is with some other insurance company and her car got stolen, they were extremly friendly and sent out a check for £10,000 without even coming out and checking. they did it in a timely manner too, for that reason i cant see why kwik fit are making such a big deal over £400 where as i pay £350 back eack month now.

grrr they make my blood boil too.

    thanks guys.
  • Call Kwik-Fit back up. If you were insured with them at the time of the accident your price shouldn't be affected until the renewal date. If this is the case, someone has done something wrong in the system and they need to fix it. You also don't need to stay with them whilst the claim is not settled. Ask to speak to a manager, if you were told this, they will check the call recording and will know what and who said it etc.

Kwik-Fit don't deal with claims, they are an intermediary and they would put you through to speak with the legal team. Unfortunatly claims aren't as clear cut as it sounds. The claims team are getting a story from you about what happened, and also a story from the 3rd party about what happened, and they have to work out what actually happened and who's fault it was. Unfortunatly, unless someone owns up to what happened, then the claim might drag on for a lot longer.

Call Kwik-Fit, they aren't as bad as what is made out. Although I can understand in your circumstances it may seem so. If a mistake as been made, they will try to rectify it
