Transferring standing order

I am opening a new bank account and wish to transfer a weekly standing order (to me from my parents) from my present account to the new one. Has anyone any idea about how I can do this? Many thanks

Ask you parents to stop it, and make a new one to the new account.

If you are closing your old account, your parents have to advise their bank of your new details. This may mean cancelling the old standing order and setting up a new one.

YOur parents just have to ask their bank (or do it themselves if they use internet banking) to change the payee details; ie sort code and account number
