I'm sure I deleted a thread I started in the past. Has this ever been possible?

No it isn't possible to delete a thread start, so it wasn't really helpful of you to tell a user that they should delete their thread once they discovered the answer0

Why doesn't MSE allow someone to delete a thread they started? - it might save the board guides some work0

It would seem a sensible idea to me, but I think only if that thread had not received any responses by other members.
As the number of those threads threads would therefore be small, I don't know if the effort involved in allowing such would warrant it."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
