HP Scam???? or am i too impatient

I purchased a new laptop from HP in June and received it at the beginning of July.
The deal was that I purchased the laptop, send my old one back to them and once it was proved to be functioning(it was) they would process a cashback cheque for £100 & postage charges up to the value of £15. Fair enough all looks good................ But nothing happened . I have emailed them countless times and have been promised after having problems with their processing dept it would be with me in the next few days etc etc. As of today I am still waiting for a cheque or a credit into my account but nothing. Is anybody else experiencing this problem with HP???

  • Which cashback scheme was this i know with my HP printer it was just a matter of filling in a form providing copy of receipt then sending it off and 2 weeks later cheque came through so its surprising they would ask for a old laptop as i would have thought it be same as printers.

Part of the deal was to return your old laptop in a working condition. They still have similar deals on there offering up to £150 for your old notebook on purchase of one of their laptops.

Yes i did have to fill in a form and provide a copy of my receipt.

I did google the problem after I read your post and found that it's an age old problem with HP in some instances going back to 2008.

I was just curious if anyone else had take up the offer which ended on July 27th
