Council tax question

Slightly random question, just trying to work some things out.

If you have the single person discount on your council tax and are also entitled to say, 30% of your council tax paid by CTB, does that 30% come off the original bill or the 75% you are liable for?

The 75% you are liable for in my experience, I am sure somebody will correct me if it has changed

Yes, the op is liable for 75% of his CT bill whether he is getting CTB or not.

edit- misread the op, the 30% will come off the 75%

CTB is always paid after any council tax discounts or exemptions are applied.
