Faulty goods within manafacturer period with extended warranty protection

    That is why I am asking because the T&C's on the Argos website clearly state that the replacement cover is fully refundable within the manufacturers warranty period and pro rata after providing it has not been used. The only way to "use" the policy within the first year is for accidental damage as this again is explicity mentioned in those T&C's . http://www.argos.co.uk/static/StaticDisplay/includeName/replacementCovertandc.htm

    MY policy was under the old underwriters something like Allitaz.

    I phoned Consumer Direct who said I wouldn't have purcahased the extended warranty had I known the product was faulty and I have suffered a (Sequential/insequential -can't remember which one) loss

    They are such a blooming shower to deal with, I really should go elsewhere. Perhaps cos on doorstep!

    Consequential loss. The loss of the policy is a direct result of the faulty product. You are therefore entitled to the return of the premium.

    I emailed the Directors Office & I can have the £ 19.99 refunded when I go in. **EUREKA**

    They apologise for the oversight!!

    How many others have been caught??
