Hi
A friend has an old computer with no usb ports, he has just got himself a new printer (said it runs on windows ME on the box) but has a usb connection.
He has the old type 25 pin serial connection on the back of his PC.
My question is, can he buy a cable to convert from 25 pin to the d connection on the printer.
Thanks

Is it serial or more likely parallel?I have just stopped using a Belkin USB to parallel convertor on my old printer which had only a parallel out and my computer is USB, not sure if anyone does the convertor to go the other way, I think the answer is to fit a USB board in the computer(as albertross suggests above) provided the operating system is modern enough to handle USB.0
