Roughly, what area do you live in?
I doubt they are holding off on medicals due to the iminent reassessments but I guess it is a possibility. It doesnt start in earnest until next February though.0 -
I wouldn't phone them, rather wait until they get in touch with you (they will).I shot a vein in my neck and coughed up a Quaalude.

thanks for the replies
i live in west norfolk, kings lynn is nearest place
thanks
i hate all this waiting.
im really worried as i would not be entitled to any other benefit till i found work as i have not paid contributions since 2002 and my partner earns to much for me to get contribution based jsa
My condition has not changed and i have just been on the only treatment that could help me and had to come off the medication as my bp went really high. so no hope of getting better only worse.
this stress is not helping, i have been in hospital twice last year and see consultant twice. had sigamoidoscopy and colonoscpoy and unable to have a hysotrectomy as consultant says i would prob die on the table as my insides are a total mess. Hoping they will see this, i have letters from consult to back it all up
does anyone know how long it might be before they get in touch, i have been worrying sice august0 -

I would not put it passed them,I think they are playing games lots of people due for review this year have not had their ib50 yet.
My review was due 15 may this year and i still had not heard anything on the 1st sept.My solicitor wrote to the Dwp, telling them i had a legal right to be assesed under IB rules. i recieved a letter from the DWP withinn 7 days saying my review date would be 25 of this month.
I have never had a award less than 3 years, i bet it will be for 6 months this time.Child of a Fighting Race.0 -
Where I am people are still being called for IB medicals - we are getting them all the time now looking to try and claim ESA straight after the IB claim - not realising that they will be considered to have made a fresh claim within six months of a disallowance.
It really is up to DWP when they choose to reassess you - you are claiming a state benefit afterall.0 -

In my area IB50S in the past have always come early if anything, what is happening now is happening too often to be anything other than planned.
What you say about being assessed at anytime though is correct.Child of a Fighting Race.0 -
IB PCA's have simply been defered due to the introduction of ESA and extra work required by ATOS. No 'games have been played', it's simply that ATOS have had backlogs with ESA and a new industrial disease for Dis Ben they also had to assess.
As NASA correctly says, it's the JCP Decision Maker who decides when you are next sent for a PCA. I'm sure that the JCP DM's couldn't stop laughing at nogginthenog's solicitors letter demanding that they be sent for examination. I fail to understand why nogginthenog didn't just ring JCP to ask them about the PCA delay. Easy money for the ignorant solicitor.0 -
thanks for your replies, i will just have to wait till my time comes
