Changing insurers after a Claim

Hi all,

My car insurance is due to run out next month, so i thought i would look around for a decent price. I had a minor accident in May this year (my fault!) but previous to this I had 6 years no claims bonus which was protected.

Does this tie me to stay with my current insurer for the next year or would i be able to take my no claims bonus to another insurer? I did a re-quote with my current insurer which comes out around £200 more thann the best price from a comparison website.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Pete

No, you dont have to stay with your present insurer.
As long as you tell your new insurer that yuo have an ongoing claim.
do the company that yu have priced up with know about the accident, it could well impact on the price you have found.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
