Help me find a new laptop for work

Morning all, I am looking for a new laptop for work I have a budget of around £900 so far I have found a (version of the) Samsung R780. This seems to just about meet my criteria except I would prefer if possible to have a slightly higher resolution screen.
My work involves the use of large spreadsheets (containing formulas and macros) and the running of large computer model simulations, so I need a fairly powerful laptop.
My criteria would be:
A 17" plus screen (I need a laptop as I occasionally work away)
Fast processor
4Gb or more Ram
500 Gb HDD or more (in 1 drive, my current laptop has 2 x 100Gb, don't like that)
Not come with too much bloatware!
Windows 7 (64 bit)
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

just a quick look has given me a couple of customisable laptops on cyberpower with those sort of specs one with a 17 inch screen ( http://www.cyberpowersystem.co.uk/system/Gamer_Xplorer_X8-7600_Notebook/ ) and one with a 18.4 inch screen ( http://www.cyberpowersystem.co.uk/system/Gamer_Xplorer_X8-7600_Notebook/ ) both feature the 1920x1080 res screens
not sure on the build quality or customer service as i have never used them but you can play with the specs a little bit to your likingDrop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)0 -
Toshiba are always worth considering, as an example:
Satellite L670-17k
it meets your specification and well within your budget. Don't worry about the bloatware it can be easily removed with a program like PC Decrapifier.
I should have added that you can always connect your chosen laptop to a bigger TV/Monitor screen if needs be using an HDMI cable.0 -
Thanks for the recommendations.
I do have a second monitor that I use as well anyway.....0 -
I would recommend IBM/Lenovo for work as there generally built like rocks and dont go wrong very often0

Yes IBM/Lenovo are good quality Business laptops but in this case I'm pretty sure they don't make laptop with a 17" screen (specified by the OP).0

Yeah a larger screen size is a must really. From the Toshiba link above I noticed they do an 18.4" laptop......0
