Friday 10th Sept - What small DFW things have you done today

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :D

Good morning everyone, Its a rather damp and dull day here again.

Thank you :A I'm so proud :D:j its early days but maybe my time for being a proud parent is coming. The last 4 years have been such a struggle. And it has been very painful watching all my friend's children having all the usual successes, and whilst I've been happy for them, its also made me sad (and also very envious :o)

& also nervous. I pray that in a new setting she can decide to be someone different and have a really positive experience. Although things have been extremely difficult for dd, especially this year, (and I've felt racked with guilt & uncertainty at putting very firm boundaries in place with her) it does seem over the last month that she has had a shift in attitude to a much more mature & realistic outlook. I guess time is a great healer...

Sorry to go on (its just so important to me) Thanks for listening & your congrats :A
