Abercrombie and Fitch Hoodie

I really need some help. I bought an Abercrombie and Fitch Hoodie when I was in America. When leaving the store nothing beeped.
However, whenever I pass through the security areas of stores like tesco and boots in the UK, I beep. The only difference seems to be the hoodie.
Do they hide any tags in them? I cant seem to see any but its getting really embarrassing having security approach me every single time.
Any help would be great

A bit of an update .
I emailed customer services yesterday and received a reply
We’re sorry that a sensor was left on your merchandise. At A&F we pride ourselves on exceptional quality and we are unhappy when things don’t go as expected. We’re going to look into this situation to find out why this happened.
We are going to be sending you a new item but first we need one more piece of information. We need you to contact us with your credit card so we can place an order for you. We need a credit card because packages shipped internationally need a valid payment. We are not going to charge you for this item but we do need the payment listed in the order. Give us a call direct at +1.614.219.5380 24 hours a day to give us your card details. When you call be sure to give the Brand Representative reference number 100909-003028.
We'll be waiting for your call.

I find it a bit weird that they are asking for credit card details.
I cant really find anything online about the number.
Any ideas?0 -
Could you email the store and get them to confirm this is legit?0

As above, it sounds a bit dodgy, I would double check this before handing over any bank details.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

marleyboy (total legend)

Sounds about right to me. They are a massive company and I bet they cant just send it through with no payment details as it will look like a freebe. Just a guess0

It looks as though there is a security tag sewn into the clothing. It doesn't have to be removed, they just run it over the deactivator . If Boots alarms are setting it off,why not ask Boots to deactivate it for you? Check it out with a Manager first.Maybe go early morning when they are not busy?
I would be very wary of giving out my credit card details.0 -
The phone number is the one on their website for customer services:
http://www.abercrombie.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CustomerService?catalogId=10901&storeId=12406&langId=-1If you believe that your merchandise is faulty, damaged, or does not correspond to its description on our website, email us at Abercrombie@Abercrombie.com, or call us on +1 614 219 5380 or freephone 00800 2000 1001.
(The freephone number is probably USA only)
I don't know why you think it is dodgy - it's not an unsolicited email - it is a reply to your original email. At a guess, their computer system won't accept an order without payment details, even if the payment is $0.00.
I know I've completed many online forms that want boxes completed before I can continue to even look at a catalogue. For phone numbers I will put 01010101 or similar and because the box has been 'completed' I am allowed to proceed.0 -
ah I couldnt find that number anywhere. even when I googled it it only came up with foreign forums.
I did call their store in london to see if they had the same number or a different one. she gave me a different one and when i called it, it simply said go to the web site (helpful)
I think I might try and see if anyone can deactivate it.
I know they replied to my email but I have just never had anything like that before where they ask for CC details so I thought I would just ask here as people here tend to have a lot of knowledge about stuff and are helpful.
It was just me trying to be safe.:j
Thank you everyone for all of your replies. I really appreciate it0 -
and i think it has got to sewn into a doubled up piece of fabric eg ribbed cuff or similar, otherwise you could see it,so ask them to run the relevant bits over the deactivator first.0
