Self Catering in Dorset/South (west) England

Anyone know of somewhere I can get a reasonabley cheap weekend break in the middle of November in Dorset or south west england - hopefully within 45 minutes drive of Wool (Monkey World weekend break *rolls eyes* for tv-following obssessive mother's birthday!).

Doesn't matter if it's a cottage or a house or a lodge or a caravan but it must be big enough for 3 adults and allow 2 (well behaved) dogs without doubling the cost of the weekend! (Saw someone charging £50 per dog yesterday on a £100 caravan weekend!)

I looked at some caravan parks but a lot seem closed in November. We will have a car so can be right in the middle of no where as long as within 45 mins drive to Monkey World.
