Tellies - lcd, led, plasma... what!? I just want a white tv!

  • LCD is basically a way of turning a white light background, into colours. So you aren't just staring at a white screen. Liquid crystals change the white light into the colours that make up the picture you see.

    LED is still LCD it's just the white light behind the crystals comes from and LED instead of a fluorescent tube.

    Plasma is a different tech, but at that screen size it won't concern you :)

    What are you going to plug into it, do you have sky? Freeview? Playstation? XBox etc.

    If you have a settop box, then you won't need built in freeview :)
