Direct Debits

Hi,
I have had a current account with HSBC for 17 years and have gone over my overdraft by accident resulting in 2 DD's being returned to sender. The bank have charged me £25 each and the companies have charged me too. After this the bank have now cancelled all of my direct debits without informing me. Meaning more charges. Can they do this without telling me?

Yes. They have done you a favour, if the companies had represented the payments then you'd be charged even more.0

You might be able to persuade the bank to cancel their charges, specially if you point out a previously unblemished record.0
