Car Insurance - Fully Comp or Third Party

I have an old fiat cinquecento (R reg, 1997).

I've previously gone for fully comp but the quotes I'm getting are probably in the region of what the car is worth!

Given the age of the car, is it worth paying fully comp or should I go for third party to bring the cost down?

Any advice?

So it would appear! Thought it would be at least worthwhile considering. Oh well.................

Car Insurance really is a lottery.

I have found that Fully Comp is often cheaper than TPF&T - though that is no longer the case since esure have stopped quoting for Liverpool postcodes and the Irish Quinn has went under.

Now my cheapest insurance TPF&T is £510 - Fully Comp is in the £690+ region, yet TP only is well over £790 + (Last year my TPFT was only £280 so I am !!!!ed off!)

Anyway, all I can assume is there really are some brain dead numskulls who actually take the legal road traffic acts minimum of TP only and pay over £250 compared to a Comp/TPFT for it because they are that thick. ?
