RYANAIR - Will the second leg be cancelled if I don't use the outbound flight?

Hi
Has anyone any experience with Ryanair whether they will cancel both flights in case I don't show up for the outbound flight? Their terms & conditions are not very clear.
Thanks a lot

I understand your concern but I can tell you I have done it perfectly successfully many times and have booked to do it again very shortly because I found my ultra cheap outbound flight was no longer convenient so i bought a single outbound on another date and will rely on the original booking for the return. I am sure Ryanair don't mind because at the end of the day (in my cases anyway) they've sold two tickets instead of one. If you are simply planning on substituting a non-Ryanair outbound leg then again I would say there are no worries.
Ryanair would make it easier/cheaper to change flights if thats the procedure they were really seeking to encourage. I think it's easier all round if you simply dont check in. The return leg under the same reference is not affected in any way in my experience.
It's not as if you got a cheaper price by buying a return like you may have done with Eurotunnel for example who state that if you cheat and attempt to use one half only of a cheap ticket they will spot it and charge you extra.0 -
Agree with anbove statement - we got caught up in the security scare back in August and out connecting flight was cancelled so we could not make the ryanair flight from Stansted. I bought new one-way tickets for the following Friday and just kept the return leg of the original. Have done this sort of thing a few times. They charge individually for each leg so no reason to cancel.HLK

I've done this before and there has never been a problem0

The new EU legislation on cancelled flights gives you more rights on a return leg than it does on an outward leg. To this, Ryanair have said in no uncertain terms that they never sell return tickets. (They only ever sell single tickets, that just happen to sometimes be in pairs. )古池や蛙飛込む水の音0

Well, Ryanair may not do it, but FlyBE certainly do! Earlier this year we didn't use an outbound flight and when we turned up for the return, were told they had cancelled it as the first part of the booking had not been used.
Although the two flights were priced as individual sectors, the overall booking was for a 'return'.0
