I will definitely be involved with the new challenge. I have avidly followed this one, but felt that I couldn't make a start as it was a bit late - but it has been great to watch people manage to make a difference - whether £5 or £500 it all helps.
I work full time so I am not sure how well I will be able to do - so I will be a bronze and try to work my way up. At the end of it I would like to pay a chunk of my credit card off and have a much tidier house (that's the theory that if it is sold it can't clutter any more).First Direct Loan @ 7.9% £13,076.03/£20,250
Mint CC @ 18.9% £3030.29/£3100 Virgin CC @ 34.9% £651.46/£2700 Tesco CC @ 0% 1366/1500

Hi Emily,
Welcome back. Without your inspiration I wouldn't have done this challenge, and I still have until Boxing Day to complete it. Amazingly enough I am still on target; I don't know how and I don't have a plan, it just seems to fall into place.Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times and I'll smash your face in.0 -

Hi Leebarton - I work full time too and devoted lunch times and weekends to it. Not only did I raise nearly £500 but it also kept me from 'spending' as I got my retail fix from doing the challenge and buying the cheap stuff to sell on instead!MFW #185

I'v been following this thread also, it's been really interesting, entertaining and inspiring. Well done to all, you've all done exeptionally well you must be really chuffed that the money's come from nothing. I'm happy for you, it just shows with a little determination and work what can be achived. Good luck to those who are still taking part, hope you hit your targets. I have a small room full of stuff I need to get rid of, it gets me down sometimes and I feel like ordering a skip and throwing it all out, but I know I could be hoarding a small fortune. A holiday or some festival tickets possibly? I'v defo made my mind up about taking part in a challange or 2 myself next year thanks to you. Cheers0

Hello peeps................just a little thought to put to you all.....
I get the impression some people are a bit daunted by the idea of trying to make £3K from nothing/anything and are maybe feeling put-off joining in.....which would of course be an awful shame.
How about...since the challenge is for extra cash in 2007, we make the target £2007.......that makes it much more attainable than £3K.....and we can then add Challenge Extra-Time for anyone who wants to push on to £3K.
I haven't really thought this through - the idea just popped into my head....but just thought I'd mention it.
Back to trying to raise a few more pennies for the current challenge.....:D0 -
Hi all, new to this but have read through a few of the threads and would def like to be involved in a money for nothing challenge in the New Year.
Count me in and my brain cells are ticking already!
A good start will be to ebay all the naff xmas pressies that I generally get from aged aunts etc!! For the first time, I am looking forward to receiving them!!!
