evening all im back again. sorry to hear your news ben.
got my house over the weekend so not been able to do much for the challenge also ladbrookes have lost £95 of our money so stuck for a bit.
im broke again though as we borrowed money to clear the debts then litterally 2minutes after picking up our keys the head gasget on the car blew. seeing as its a rover 75 its going to cost us nearly £1000 to fix. had to borrow my dads car for a week and hes lending us the money to fix the car so some debt again. oh what a week.
on a positivenote we made £11.15 from ebay and my dads given us a mobile and some alloys to sell on ebay to help with this chaleenge so hoping for a good week next week. wont be around to post though as we have to go back to manchester to drop dads car of and get ours. thats will be my £2 savings gone though.back to comping in 2017, fingers crossed :beer:0 -
glad to hear your house went successfully
sorry to hear about your car
instead of finding £1000 to repair the car could you get a new used car for that price and sell the parts of the rover on ebay (obviously Rover parts are getting scarce now so you may get a good price for them)Debt of £6300 cleared in 5 years, now ZERO0 -
my dad thinks it would cost more to that in the long run as the car is perfect otherwise and for that i might not get much car or it would need alot doing on it. so cheaper to get it fixed. also would make a big loss on what we paid for the car. we are hoping to get the price down had a rough quote of 750 just waiting for them to ring us back and let us know. dad said hes in no rush for us to pay him back though he just doesnt want us to use credit cards and end up back at square one so he wanted to help us out like this. have to say we really appreciate it or we would be stuck with credit cards as the only option and dont want that. i should be nearly debt free at the end of the week and would like to stay like that.back to comping in 2017, fingers crossed :beer:0

Sounds like an interesting challenge! Good luck! I can see how at times it will be very difficult, but it does seem possible. As long as you keep on trying, are determined to succeed, and believe you can succeed, then I'm sure you will do just fine.
Good luck!0 -

Hi Annie
What are the books you are selling? Sorry to be nosy, but are they cooking books, or something else? You seem to be making a few bob on books :T
My total is up by another £15 from matched betting. Tough going...0 -

Oh-My-God. I found a book about Chanel N°5 in a charity shop last week at £0.25p and it sold BIN on ebay last night within 18 minutes of listing - at £12.50! I noticed a previous one had sold for £11 ish so thought it worth a go BIN @ £12.50... and it paid off! Who-hooo!
Also got a cute elephant piggy bank @ boot fair, plus Microsoft Office Business 2000 so listing them amongst other things to finish this coming Sunday. I think this will be my last week now as xmas build up, redundancy and upcoming holiday are all needing sorting out! I really hope I sell quite a bit as all the money is going towards my holiday which will ease the pain of finding new job in January...MFW #185
