I started off with SportingOdds (https://www.sportingodds.com), you get up to 3 free £10 bets... I made about £50 in winnings from this offer and you can withdraw without penalties.0 -

A message to benedictadams
About your possible redundancy and house buying. Why don't you go and talk to your HR department and ask them what they are saying to mortgage companies about future redundancies, when the mortgage companies take up references? Next June is an awful long way away (round 3 of your company redundancies, IIRC) for them to be saying people are at risk.
If your HR department say that references for mortgages are unaffected, in your shoes I would just go ahead - BUT make sure that you take out mortgage protection insurance. That way you will know that if the worst happens you have a year to find a job while your mortgage will be paid!
Hope this helps......Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -
Ben - I agree with jobbing musician I would too go ahead - however you don't want to get in over your head. Best of Luck whatever you decide.JUST DO IT ONE BRICK AT A TIMEPROUD TO BE DEALING WITH MY DEBTSWeekly Budget: groceries£50/petrol£50/Unnecesary£15DEBT PAID = 58% (£4,212/£8216):T0

problem with mortgage payment protection is that no company will offer it when the information has been given it to us
i think it was fate saying don't do it
strange how the mortgage contracts arrive from the solicitors on the day they tell us.Debt of £6300 cleared in 5 years, now ZERO0 -
Just an idea but if you have any books hanging around that you don't want anymore or a friend may give you some.....buy a brown envelope or reuse an old one if you are really doing this properly...advertise your book on the following link and see what happens....only problem is if people are interested ...( but you can check whether you will make a profit when you search the ISBN ) ask your mates though, maybe they will be kind and give you a good selling book, All postage costs in UK are £2.75 (which are paid by the buyer) I think, so make sure its not very heavy.
Its free to list by the way.
P.s tip....you would be surprised what people want to buy...so try anyway.
