I need to wait until Friday before I start match betting again, it's pay day then! My bank account isn't that healthy this week as I had a hen weekend thing in London... Hopefully though over the next few weeks I can make my next target easily!0

Who-hoo my total is much better now - £7.50 cheque for charity newsletter work I did has cleared, plus sold the £15 Debenhams vouchers (which arrived this morning) - sold within 1 hour for £14.20 BIN on ebay plus another couple of BIN items - once fees were removed, I've now got £231.67!!!MFW #185

I can relate - got made redundant 2 weeks ago - last day at work will be 15th Dec - nice way to spend Xmas. All the more important for me to make as much as poss on this challenge.
You say 'maybe' could be out of a job - check it out first!MFW #185

sorry to hear that easylearner
why the fudge do they do it around Christmas time?
they tell us next Thursday who will be out by Christmas
then the next lot will be out by March
then the final lot will be out by June
before taking out a large amount of debt i need to be certain that i will be in a job
i could walk into a new job immediately or could be out of work for monthsDebt of £6300 cleared in 5 years, now ZERO0 -
Sorry to hear that Ben. I too can totally sympathise as I got made redundant 2 weeks before Xmas when I was 3 months pregnant. What do you think about joining agencies for pemenant roles as opposed to temporary. I've found them quite good when I've been stuck in the past. You can also then tell them how much an hour you expect rather than the other way round and you usually get it. It's a shame we can't earn enough from this challenge to support ourselves isn't it. Maybe if we keep racking our brains  ............. I know I'm optimistic!!
I know it's probably no comfort at all right now but my best mate says everything happens for a reason even if we don't know what that reason is at the time. When she tells me this when times are bad for me it frustrates me but looking back, it's true about everything (especially job-wise).
Make sure you milk the b***rds for every penny you possibly can.
As for the flat/house I don't know what to say - I can see what you mean about the lack of security and a mortgage, however I always think that if you are prepared to work then there are jobs out there whether its cleaning or your dream job.
Best wishes any way at this hard time.JUST DO IT ONE BRICK AT A TIMEPROUD TO BE DEALING WITH MY DEBTSWeekly Budget: groceries£50/petrol£50/Unnecesary£15DEBT PAID = 58% (£4,212/£8216):T0 -
