Hi,

Just wondered if anyone could advise if above i a good deal - it's got 3 year warranty, 1 year norton and lifetime office - is this spec ok? Any help appreciated.

I would say, "Yes", go for it. With the three year warranty and one of the latest i3 processors, you won't get much better for the price.

Having sold laptops in the past I would avoid ever buying an Acer laptop, in my experience the quality has really gone down hill over the years and the warranty on them is terrible, when things go wrong they don't want to know and tell you to see the place of purchase who will tell you to contact Acer, if you do get them to take the laptop in for repair they'll most likely "repair" it then return it to you with the exact same fault or eve deny they found any problems! With Acer the 3 year warranty isn't going to be worth the paper it's printed on.

My preference is HP/Compaq as in my experience their warranty service is excellent (next day service) and sometimes they'll even cover batteries which is generally excluded from most laptop warranties, Toshiba are quite good too.
