i have been quoted £350-400 to build 2 concrete steps leading out from french doors to patio area (nothing fancy), roughly 6ft in length.
i was thinking somewhere along the lines of £100-150 - am i being unrealistic.

£350 sound a lot to me. Get some more quotes.

a box need to be made and fully secured too.

Then it has to be pourd, then the next day the box has to be removed and any imperfections have to be touched up.

So its like a day and a half for a bloke to do it plus materials, tbh I dont think its far off the mark.

Its one of them jobs that seem dissproportionately expensive.

You could do it yourself its a very simple job and will only cost you a few quid
