£20K to save for 6months with monthly interest?

Hi, I've just had one of my savings account pay out the annual interest and as I'm buying a house in approx 6 months time I was looking to put this money in another account that would pay the interest to me monthly instead of having to wait another year as would like to have as much cash available when I buy.
I've already used my ISA allowance and have bonds which will mature in the next few months so just looking for something that will earn a few ££ instead of putting it back in my current account where the interest is a joke.

Any ideas?

If you close an account paying annual interest they will credit the interest earned to date immediately, so it's not something you need to worry about.

You might like to look at the wonder that is Lloyds Vantage anyway (search the forums).

Unless you have a term deposit for a year and cancel the account before the year, in which case you will get no interest at all.
