Repalcing a Falp valve.

Hello there, i wonder if anyone can help, my wc(toilet) is not flushing, and someone said you might have to replace the falp valve, does anyone know what this is and how easy is it to fix. I don't want to pay a plumber a fortune.
Any ideas would be great.

Just go to your local plumbers merchant and ask for a syphon disc (20p) there are 2 types round or square.A thankyou is payment enough .0
