PPi claim

Hi all,
I took out a loan with i-group in 2005 for £35000 over 20yrs,and ppi was added to the loan. The insurance lasted for only 5 yrs,but as the amount was added to the loan, would of been paying for the insurance for the full 20yrs.I re-paid the loan in full within 2 years.
After reading about reclaiming mis-sold PPi,I wrote to i-group and basically got told,no grounds to claim,as all was explained in a leaflet.I got contacted by a no win no fee company, who claimed to get it all back within 6 months, and let their solicitors deal with it.
Now after 2 years still no futher forward. They have threatened a few times they would take this to a court, but havent as of yet,and no the insurance they took out to cover themselves has run out,and have been trying for around 4/5 months to get another in place, but nothing still.
WHAT DO I DO........anyone having the same problems......please any advise...thanks:mad:

Personally I would cancel the contract you have with the Claims Management Company as they have not kept to their part of the deal. Make sure that you will not be charged for this. You can also report them to the Ministry of Justice. I would not touch claims management companies with a barge poll.
You could try to claim it back with the help of this site. There are template letters for you to use to write your own personal letter. If the lender tries to tell you that you should have responded to their letter within six months then you can remind them they have been in touch with a claims company. Try to get all correspondence back that the claims company hold on you. You could send a SAR letter to them (copy of which is on the front page of this thread) so that you can see what exactly they have been doing. It will cost you 10.00 and they will have 40 days to respond to your request.
I think the first thing to do though is to cancel y our agreement with the CMC.
Let us know how you get on and what you decide to do and I am sure somebody on here will be able to help you. Good luck:mad:0 -
Yes - we are having similar problems too - going on three years now through using Loancheck.
I agree with Maxdp above - who has kindly been advising me on the threads i`ve posted.
I`m in the process of writing to our solicitor to find out exactly what is happening and will be using the FOS, as most of our claims are now entering the time barred thingy as they have been with our solicitors for so long!
It`s maddening isn`t it?0
