    Hi there

We chased Lloyds a couple of weeks ago and they said that they needed a bit more time to respond to our complaint. However, since then I believe that all claims are now on hold.

Di - I think I noticed on someone elses thread that you advised them to move on to the FOS as the Lloyds have gone over their time period to respond - is that what I should do?

Thanks for your help, as always.

    Hiya

It is suggested to ring the FOS first and see what they say before actually making a complaint to them first.
The bank should still be investigating complaints if they were made before the 8 October to what I am aware of, so do check this out with the FOS first.;)

Its my pleasure, good luck X

    Hi there

I am awating a settlement figure from Lloyds TSB in respect of my Amex Duo card as they changed me over to this account from a normal Lloyds TSB visa account and that's when I noticed that PPC had been added to my account without my knowledge.

I went thru the FOS (ok it's taken over a year) and Lloyds agreed to settle.

I'm claiming for this and the previous card which I have held since mid 1990s. I would go for it as they did it to me and have accepted my complaint. I've been told to allow 8weeks and i'm hoping that I won't have to wait much as I accepted the settlement, without seeing the offer, circ 20 August.

Does anyone know if it tends to take up to 8 weeks>?

Go for it & Best of luck
    CJ

A wee update, I have just received my cheque for over £2,000 and I'm delighted :D. I had no idea how much i would be entitled to and this came as a big surprise and just in time for Xmas :santa2:

My letter did state that this settlement was being paid out as it was approved before the Banks submitted their claim against the FSA so anyone approved before this date should be ok.

  • Hi there

A belated Happy New Year to all!

Lloyds wrote to us before Xmas saying that all claims were on hold, so I thought this had gone away, but yesterday came home to a letter saying that they have "decided to make you an ex-gratia offer to bring this matter to a speedy conclusion. We will ensure that you are put back to the same position you would have been in, had the PPI premium not been included with your credit card". Please sign the attached acceptance.

But... they haven't said how much they are prepared to pay - what should I do now, obviously not going to sign anything without a settlement figure!

Am I entitled to ask for a full breakdown of charges incurred (plus interest?) - should we do this in writing / email / telephone? I just want to make sure that they pay back all they owe (but as have stated before, I have no idea what that amount would be - not actually expecting too much as have always been pretty good with the CC).

Any advise how to proceed would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Hiya

Happy New year to you and well done on your success too!

That't the thing with Lloyds, they don't tend to send the breakdown when giving an offer etc, but what I did was email and ask them to send me a full written detailed breakdown which came in the post about a week later, like yours, mine was a credit card ppi, with the loan ppi it was like trying to get blood out of a stone.

I would email them and ask if they would be able to send the breakdown in order for you to be able to decide to sign or not.
Give it a go and see what they say, remember to give them your claim ref number too.
    Good luck.

  • I emailed on Weds and hadn't heard anything so emailed again today (copying the CEO) saying that I having waited a very long time for Lloyds to sort out my claim and then to receive an "offer" with no financial settlement figure on, I was a little fed up, please could they send me the information asap - I received the following email.

"Thank you for your recent communication forwarded to me from our Chief Executive Mr Eric Daniel’s Office. It is very important to The Lloyds Banking Group, to ensure that our customers receive competent yet helpful and friendly advice, during any business dealings they may have with us and I am sorry to hear that you have had cause to voice your concerns with the Business.

However, I have today been in contact with our Refunds Team to be able to confirm in full the figures you require. As soon as I have the information I will be in touch with you.

In the meantime should you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact xxx

Fingers crossed we get a settlement figure next week.

    Have a lovely weekend all.
  • Hi there

Just to let you know that we finally got the figures through from Lloyds (£491 which is more than I thought it would be!), and we are just waiting for payment now. A big thanks for all your help Di and everyone else, couldn't have done it without you. x:beer:
