Backlight broke on iphone?

Hi guys,
I spilt a beer on my iphone the other night and now the backlight wont come on, the phone is fine and in perfect working order?
Any ideas on fixing it etc? or how much it would be to fix it?
If anyone has had this happen or something similar please share
