Fish Tank Plant Taking a cutting?
Comments
-
Maybe a strange request for this part of the forum I have a living plant in my fish tank does anyone know how to take a cutting from that. I don't suppose compost will be any use

Many, aquatic plants send out runners, which root into adjoining gravel, e.g. the sword or especially the vallis plants. Other plants that have long stems e.g. elodea - just snip a piece off, and wedge in-between the gravel.
Compost - no, the waste matter in the tank, will provide 'soil' between the gravel. But if you need to - you can get aquatic sand, and pond soil.I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard0
