Aluminium or upvc or wood bifold doors

ALUMINIUM OR UPVC OR WOOD BIFOLD DOORS

Need some advice please.

Builder is soon putting in bifold doors onto patio from day room. He wants to put in UPVC doors but I do not know which are the best to put in. The window in the day room is UPVC or something similar and I do not know whether to match it or go for aluminium or wood.

Which would last the longest and be easiest to maintain? There will be three doors to the garden.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

PVC can be a bit clunky in use for bi-fold or tri-fold doors. Wood looks good but require maintenance, aluminium with a good quality finish shouldn't require any maintenance, just a wipe down every now and again.

I've been advised to go with aluminium, as for the reasons above. Saying that I'm getting the upvc ones as my BiL can get them cheap!
