why cant i post photos in a thread?

there is a thread on this site were people are posting photos. i tried to post some myself but they did not appear. obviously i have voiced my issue in that thread but there doesnt seem to be anyone there at the moment so i thought i would ask for advice in this section.
what i do normally is,
1. open a post ready.
2. log into photobucket and select a photo.
3. click generate code.
4. i then cut and paste the img code into the post on this site.
5. i then submit the post.
when the post appears there is nothing there. why?

I use photobucket to post pics on this site and the only thing I do differently is that I don't have to do what you do in number 3. I just copy and paste the img code in my post and submit.

Having said that I noticed recently that my pics aren't showing up immediately in my post. They seem to materialise later when I go back.

thanks. so maybe there is an issue with this site or photobucket, maybe. when i have posted photos in the past they have appeared immediately.

Same here. Pics used to come up straightaway but lately they haven't been. No idea which site to blame though

the problem seems to be sorted at the moment. it seems i wasnt doing anything wrong before. photos are now appearing when i post them.

3. type in the code.
4. then cut and paste [ bottom line ] the "" Direct Link for Layouts "".
5. then submit the post.

when the post appears there is nothing there. why?

The fourth way is wrong or doesn't work anymore. Instead you should copy the "direct link", click "insert image" (between "insert email link" and "wrap

tags around selected text") when you create a post and insert the link in the opening window.

- it works for me, all it does is take you to http://tinypic.com/

- if you mean it doesn't have the picture already in it for you, no, that's your job, follow these instructions :

1. log in to tinypic
2. select "" choose file ""
3. copy the code it generates into the box
4. then copy and paste the img code [ from the bottom box ] into your post on this site
5. here for example

• Click on the browse button (if on your PC)
• Upload the pic, choose to resize if desired
• Copy the "DIRECT LINK" path
• Wrap it with the

Closing tag : [/IMG]
Direct link : http://img823.imageshack.us/img823/2667/msetitle.jpg

Put that inside the two codes above, and you get the follow

the img code has been working fine. i dont know what was going wrong last night. heres the thread. my photos are all in the most recent few pages.
