computer asking for password

Had my laptop a while now but when it goes to the idle screen it has started asking me for my password.

anyone help?

  • Right-click the Desktop, click Properties. On Screen Saver tab, untick 'On resume, password protect'.

    Right click on the desktop

    Select Properties

    Click the Screen Saver Tab

    Untick the On Resume, Password Protect

    Right click some free space on the "DESKTOP" not the username.

    another way to get to the same place is

    Start Menu
    Control Panel
    Display (icon)

    Then the Screen Saver Tab and unclick the same option.
