My laptops really slow and I want to re install windows but I've lost all the disks that came with it (its a toshiba). It came with vista but I want xp, so can I just install xp with a different disk that it didnt come with? What do I do about the extra software that the disks had on e.g. wireless utility thingy etc

Can send you the XP disc, the drivers are on the website. You'll lose the bundled software:

But that is no loss.

How do I get them to send me the disk? The bundled software (Norton) can't even remove that crap.

Begin by going to the page indicated in post #4(refresh the page by choosing F5 if necessary) and selecting 'Drivers'. Choose XP as your OS and download and extract all the Drivers folders to a CD, including the Installation instructions(this will tell you in which order you need to install the Drivers).

You cannot legally install it unless you have Vista Business with XP Downgrade rights.
