What would you do with £250 to make someone smile?
We’ll be picking two winners per month to receive a cash prize of £250 to be used to make someone smile. and one very lucky overall winner will be awarded a further £2,500 to make their Rye Smile go even further. The overall winner may be required to become involved in further publicity or advertising.

ELIGIBILITY:
This competition is open to any person resident in the UK who is 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees of Village Bakery Melmerby or its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising or promotion agencies are not eligible, nor are members of these employees’ families (defined as parents, children, siblings, spouse and life partners).

Email [EMAIL="ryesmile@village-bakery.com"]ryesmile@village-bakery.com[/EMAIL] and submit your name, postal address, email address, daytime contact telephone number and entry* (*your answer to the question: “What would you do with £250 to make someone smile?”), or post your entry to Rye Smile competition, The Blue House, Clifton Down, Bristol, BS8 3HT.
Entries will not be returned. No purchase entry. Incomplete, damaged, defaced or illegible entries may be deemed invalid at the sole discretion of Village Bakery Melmerby. Entry constitutes full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Village Bakery Melmerby and its agents reserve the right to disqualify anyone in breach of these Terms and Conditions.
TIMING:
This competition runs from 12.00:01am GMT on 3 September 2010. The closing date of this competition is 11.59:59pm GMT on 31 December 2010. Completed entries must reach no later than the closing date.
USE OF DATA:
Personal data which you provide when you enter this competition will not be used for future marketing activity and will not be shared with third parties in accordance with the Data Protection Act.
SELECTION OF WINNERS AND PRIZES:
Two winners per month will be selected by a panel of judges between September 2010 and January 2011 to receive a cash prize of £250 to be used to make someone smile. Winners agree to participate in publicity associated with the competition in good faith, including featuring their story / image in publicity and on the Village Bakery Melmerby and associated websites.
Winners will be notified within a week of being selected and, subject to satisfactory completion of terms set out above, will be entered into an overall prize draw to win an additional £2,500 to be drawn on 28 February 2011. The overall winner may be required to become involved in further publicity or advertising.
WINNERS LIST:
The winner consents to their surname being made publicly available. The winners’ names will be available for a period of 2 months after the closing date by email request.
OTHER:
No correspondence will be entered into regarding either this competition or these Terms and Conditions. In the unlikely event of a dispute, Village Bakery Melmerby’s decision shall be final. Village Bakery Melmerby reserves the right to amend, modify, cancel or withdraw this competition at any time without notice.0
