Anyone dealt with
Vincent bond or melanie Nicholas? Following on from my sisters saga yesterday she and her husband have been offered an iva fr vincent bond for£240 a month and the other from melanie who works from melanie giles. Vincent will take two months payment once instructed to do the work and MN will take £204 and no payment until iva is a accepted. Is this the norm? Also MN asked for a more info bank account details house valuation from estate agent on first contact is this the norm?
This is a bit of a mind field and I don't want my sister being in more trouble than she is now
Thanks

Hi Sorry can't help with either of the people you have listed but I do know that you should never pay anything up front for a IVA if I was your sister I would run a mile from these people.
Best thing to do is get her to ring one of the debt charities CCCS or Payplan and speak to them.
I have an IVA with CCCS and never paid anything until my IVA was accepted by my creditors.:laugh:Free at last0 -
Sorry just read your earlier post my advice above will not be of to much help with your sisters situation, but I would still stand by my advice of running a mile from anyone who wants to charge an upfront fee.:laugh:Free at last0

Thanks for that I have told her that MN seems a better bet and I have read good things about McCambridge Duffy so i'll get her to contact them tomorrow.
I just didn't realise that she would have to get a house evaluation from an estate agent I have never heard of that before. They also told her that as she is a SAHM her husbands payments would go up if she found a job and it may not be worth her going back to work for a while. She could not stay at home for 5 years she is already struggling in her career. She is also looking in getting JSA do you know how this would affect payments0 -
I think its standard practise for them to want a house evaluation as for JSA I am afraid you will someone with a lot more know how then me yo answer this.:laugh:Free at last0

Hello,
Bit late but I deal with Melanie Nicholas and Melanie Giles' company and was expremely impressed!
I am 9 months into my IVA now and dont regret it a bit, whenever I have had questions or problems emails are always dealt with very quickly!
Thanks0 -
Thanks, my sister is still exploring her options but I think she is swaying towards Melanie.0
