I was hoping someone could possibly help me with a question.
My son likes to play online games on the family laptop, and we were wondering if a Netbook would be suitable for his needs. He does not really do any web browsing yet, he just likes to play games like miniclip, club penguin etc.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Also what requirements spec wise should I be look to get for this purpose - if indeed suitable.
Many thanks

Any computer should be able to play online games without problems (although bigger memory may be better for a faster computer).
However, if your son buys computer games, a netbook will probably not have a CD/DVD drive for that.0 -
It really depends on what kind of online games we're talking about here0

I beg to differ......There are quite a few games that can be played on netbooks and as I have been using a netbook for the past year and a half instead of my desktop for emails, heavy Internet surfing, streaming, downloading music etc the answer is YES.
Have a quick peruse of some of the games which can be played on Samsungs NC10 netbook.........

Miniclip and Club Penguin both use Flash so, yes a netbook would be suitable.0

Alienware M11x can play games with ease.
Also look at Acer 1215n0 -
I use my cheap netbook that I bought from Aldi for everything I do on the internet. My son who's seven plays online games from the cbbc website and gamesgames.com without any problems at all, infact he prefers to play games on the netbook because he likes the fact it's small.0
