Next directory default

Just wondering whether there was any advice on this matter:
I had a next directory account with an outstanding balance of just £150 (most of which were charges)
In severe financial difficulty then i was unable to pay it.
Myself and partner entered into debt management on 17th march 2010 (yes we pay for the company but are just in the process of switching to cccs)
I contacted next to let them know that my partner was in hospital at the time,we were under severe financial difficulty and that we had entered into debt management and gave them a reference number of the debt management company and said they would be in touch, they said ok and seemed to be understanding. I phoned the financial management company and said next were aware they were dealing with it.
On 23rd april 2010 i received a default notice from next despite my calls
ever since i have contested that this was unfair, next accept i called them and have it on record but say that the financial management company never contacted them.
Is there anything that can be done? i tried negotiating full and final settlement for removal of default notice-having none of it. I paid the full and final settlement figure eventually as i had collectors who knocked on the door 5+times a day- despite receiving no written confirmation of it being passed to them or any letters from the collections company themselves telling me to pay

Even a stopped clock tells the right time twice a day, and for once I'm inclined to believe Withnail is right. We are indeed drifting into the arena of the unwell.

But... the default is NOT unfair... you have defaulted your original agreement and therefor they are entirely within their rights to place the default on your credit file. Sorry but I'm not sure why you feel it's an unfair default?DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

Oh and you probably won't like this... but if you have any more debts that you are not making full payments on... expect them to end up as defaulted on your credit file too... sorry...DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!
