hi,
my dad has a problem with his dell laptop. its running windows xp.
he gets a black screen with error 32 file missing "or similar" in the top left hand corner of the screen.
this is all that happens, it just freezes there and nothing at all happens, unable to do anything at all.
how can we fix this.
any helps appreciated.
im not sure if he has an xp disc? probably not.

some Dells have a restore partition

Reboot, and press Ctrl + F11 at the Dell logo

    will lose any data though
