No goods, No refund Should I leave feedback

I have had ebay problems in the past but I need some help on this one, the seller never sent the item, after many weeks he told me a refund was on the way, it never turned up, Paypal found him liable but as usual there is no funds to give me back, so I can leave feedback telling others to give him a wide berth, but unlike disputes with buyers, there seems no way of leaving negative feedback without getting negative feedback returned.

Why is it ebay will withdraw negative feedback from defaulting buyers but do not do this for bad sellers ? does anyone have any ideas what I should do ?

  • leave your neg feedback!
otherwise how will others know he is a bad seller?

Plus it will be obvious that if he negs you this is a retaliation feedback, and you can follow up his comment saying as much.
It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.

If we dont use the feedback facility for honest, accurate feedback then its not worth using it at all.

Retaliatory feedback is the worse part of eBay but I think we are all too protective of our feedbacks and few people take the headline percentage on its own without looking at the nature of the feedback.

If you leave a factual, non personal comment then most will see that it is the other party at fault.

    Go for it.

Yeah leave the feedback otherwise noone will know what he is like! Feedback is there to reflect your experience with the ebayer! If he returns the favour of bad feedback then leave follow up remarks.

There's a couple of reasons why eBay remove feedback from buyers, off the top of my head one is if the seller has been through the Non-Paying Bidder process and the buyer has not contributed, then eBay will automatically remove his feedback - off the top of my head I can't think of anything similar in relation to Sellers.
