Untill you know your real budget you honestly do not need a pet sitter. Good luck with getting the debts down ! it will be a tough road but worth it.0

I've just started my DF journey too and it feels so good to finally be in control of things going DOWN instead of every month thinking oh s&^t we're just putting more and more onto the cc and o/d. For me this is month 2 and the o/d's (I have 2) are nearly maxed out BUT I haven't put a single thing on the cc since the end of July and that is a MASSIVE achievment for me.:T
You will get there, as will I, we just have to learn where we were going wrong and realise that a budget is not a chore or something to be scared of, it's a necessity. Otherwise we end up in this mess again and that's NOT GOOD.
Good luck and I will follow your journey:)
Hello primrose
It seems the penny is dropping for both of us! Sounds like you are doing very well. Not putting anything on the cc since July is fantastic, way to go! It's things like that which make us feel in control and that's the best way to feel about this journey I think.
Hope you are having a good day0 -
Afternoon everyone.
I will look into Skype for calls and the pet insurance, thank you. Have postponed the shopping for food as having looked at the stock we have, we can do a few more days without buying more stuff, other than milk. Made bread earlier, cleaned the house, walked the pups and made risoto for lunch so feeling like I have achieved something today
If you are looking at changing pet insurance be sure to check it is for life cover with a decent upper limit - some cheap policies only cover you for 12 months or give you a pot of money to spend then when it finishes you're on your own. The pet forums tend to recommend Axa, NFU and Petplan.......0 -
I would get rid of the Argos card before they charge interest. I had £450 on a 6 month interest free arrangement. I was very strict with myself and put the money away every month. I am glad I did as the last statement that came through was quoting £68 interest  if I was not paying of the full balance.0
