Bloody Buyers!!!!!! I Need to let of steam

I am getting more and more buyers who purchase something from me and then for various reasons dont want it! You would think people would be getting used to how eBay works by now but there seem to be more and more stupid buyers everyday!
1) Buyer buys two different makes but same size and type of memory card from me half hour between the purchases.....contacts me today to ask why Ive sent a payment reminder when they have paid. i.e. they paid for the second item purchased, not the first! Obviously changed their mind and wanted the different make but why not contact me first and did they simply forget they had already bought one!
2) Buyer contacts me when I send a payment reminder to say I must be making a mistake because they have already paid for item no xx and Ive already advised of dispatch. Only problem is item no xx isnt my item! Its the same product purchased from another seller 6 hours after the buyer bought my item (and they paid more for it from the other buyer).
This is becoming a daily occurance now. Buyers simply thinking as sellers we can forget about their purchase because:
a) they've made a mistake or
b) they changed their mind or
c) their baby/dog/budgie pressed the wrong key and bought the item.
I know there is the Mutual Agreement process but this is dependant on the buyer agreeing to it and completing it correctly - if they dont I'm stuffed plus its time consuming plus I have to relist the item! AAARRRGGGHH
I think eBay should put a large red warning on the page where the buyer is about to click BUY NOW warning that they are about to commit to buy the item and cannot back out!
Im tempted to go down the immediate payment via Paypal route for everything but dont want to loose the 5% of buyers who want to pay by cheque by imposing this.

Why not have a few listings with PayNow and a few with cheques? You can mention in the item description that cheques are welcome - check out my other items. People not wanting to use PP will look through your description for a way out and the dopey ones will not be reading your descriptions at all, so will pay immediately. Might cut down the NPBs.
Good luck in sorting it out.:wall:0 -

Thanks. Not a bad idea but doubles the listing fees.
In fact an update...one buyer has just called me to say she must have had too much wine that day because she has no idea how it happened. At least she was pleasant and apologetic and agreed to the Mutual Agreement.
One down several more to go......0 -
Have you had to go through disputes to claim your fees back for any of them at all? I guess there are alot of genuine folk out there that will own up to and take responsiblity for their mistakes.
To be honest I dont see how people can mistakenly bid/win items as you have to click at least a couple of times and enter an amount before you can bid!Weight Loss - 102lb0
